Website design - that’s what I do. Wiltshire – that’s where my clients are.
In reality, the term website design – like the county of Wiltshire – covers a lot of ground. That’s because a good website designer is involved with not just the way the site looks (the website design bit), but also the words used on the website and the building of it. As I have a hand in all three aspects, a more appropriate description of what I do would be website development, as distinct to website design, and rather than being a website designer, I'm more of a ‘website developer’.
Now, having got that out the way, I’d like to spell out immediately the benefits you enjoy when your website designer also writes the 'copy' - i.e., the words - for your website and builds it for you:
1. The costs are kept to the minimum
2. The lines of communication are as short as they can possibly be
3. The job is done quicker
If you already have a website design, or the words for it, and you just want a site building, then that’s no problem – I’ll be happy do that for you. The same is true if you’d like an existing site changing.
Easy to read, good to look at, built-to-order websites for businesses in and around Wiltshire...
Irrespective of whether it’s called Website design or website development, there’s no shortage of options available to Wiltshire businesses when it comes to choosing a website design resource.
So where do you begin to decide who you should appoint to sort out your website for you? Given that one website design company looks pretty much like another (on screen at least) then ‘size’ might be a good point to start. I’m a small business, a very small business; I am in fact a one-man band. So if you’re not exactly a multi national then the fit should be fine.
Perhaps location within Wiltshire is important to you? I’m in Marlborough – home of the Polly Tea Rooms and some excellent restaurants.
Do you know what you want of your website?
If you’re not sure, I can probably tell you…
On the basis that you require your website to promote your business interests, it is on occasions necessary to make some important decisions - assuming they’ve not already been made - regarding the aims of the business.
The web is an unforgiving environment – it expects websites to spell out, in succinct and definite terms, their precise purpose and role. And if potential buyers of your product or service are going to find you, that’s what your website must enable them to do - quickly and easily. The marketing man in me can help make sure that happens.
I’ll keep is simple, if you prefer
I approach website design on the basis that most people regard it as being a ‘technical’ subject and as such best left to the experts. With that in mind, I’ll explain as much or as little of the process as you want explaining. But I will always keep you fully in the picture regarding costs and progress.
Would you like to meet?
We can meet at your place or mine or at some point in between – it doesn’t involve you in any costs and there’s no obligation on your part to proceed if you ultimately decide not to.
